Ava Ichaporia

Hi

I’m Ava.

I was born in Pune and currently live in Mumbai. I am a therapist working primarily in a long-term, depth-oriented manner, influenced by Jungian psychology. I work with individual adult clients in India and overseas through 60-minute video sessions, offering a person-centred and confidential space focused on insight, meaning, and increasing self-agency.

My Approach

My primary orientation is depth-oriented long-term therapy, influenced by Jungian psychology. I work with adult clients in India and overseas via 60-minute video conferencing sessions, focusing on insight, self-agency, and meaning. I follow a person-centred approach, allowing you to lead the content of sessions in a supportive environment to explore your concerns.

EXPERIENCE HAS TAUGHT ME THAT HEALING IS NOT ABOUT QUICK FIXES OR HAVING ALL THE ANSWERS.

Creating a safe space where people can explore their inner world with honesty and care

Allowing clients the freedom to move at their own pace, without pressure

Valuing depth, reflection, and presence as the foundation of meaningful work

Letting go of rigid ideas about what therapy “should” look like

Trusting what feels grounded, authentic, and genuinely helpful

Practicing in a depth-oriented, Jungian-informed way

Working with adults to foster insight, self-agency, and personal meaning

Allowing therapy to unfold thoughtfully rather than rushing toward outcomes

Honouring each person’s unique experience and individual process

When I began working therapeutically, I realised that lasting change comes from slowing down and looking beneath the surface.

Here is a way of understanding concerns around relationships, work stress, identity, and belonging without rigid diagnostic labels. Experiences like anxiety or low mood becomes signals pointing toward something deeper.

In a world focused on speed and solutions, choosing depth can feel unconventional-

but I have learned to trust the process.

Over time, this shaped my practice. I work in a person-centred, relational way, offering reflections and gentle challenge. Alongside therapy, I also offer supervision and dream work, informed by Jungian psychology.

Areas I Work With

I work with a wide range of concerns, with a particular focus on:

• Relationship and family concerns
• Work-related stress
• Family dynamics
• Identity, meaning, and belonging

I do not work from a diagnostic framework. Experiences such as anxiety or depression are understood as expressions of deeper concerns that we explore together, rather than conditions to be treated in isolation.
